NOTE: PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION FOR MODIFICATIONS NEEDED TO RUN THIS FLYBACK.  F1408CE Sharp / Nintendo Flyback Transformer.  New Aftermarket Sharp XM-2001N and XM-1801N T601 and Nintendo Red Tent monitor chassis TRNF1408CE.

NOTE:  This flyback requires a MC1083 capacitor installed on the chassis to correct some frequency issues.  If your not comfortable with your skill level to add this capacitor to the pcb then please don’t buy the flyback or attempt the modification.  Here is a video that shows where to install the capacitor.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjNUvwcV4rM

The capacitor has no polarity so one lead attaches to chassis solder point that in the video you will see comes directly from pin 3 of the flyback and the other lead of the capacitor connects to the junction of R602 and anode of D601 on the chassis.

Flyback installed with little trouble and worked a treat. I bought 2 for my Nintendo red tent, but only one monitor needed the flyback replaced — the 2nd one will stay on-hand as a backup. Glad these are still available, as the XM-1801 is a bit of an odd duck.

Brought my XM-2001N monitor back to life in my PC-10 and worked great for two years, but eventually gave up the ghost after extended use.
